Visby is one of the oldest cities in Sweden and the main city of the island Gotland. Most of the buidlings inside the city walls date back to medieval times.

During the beginning of august each year the Medieval week (medeltidsveckan) is organized, the whole city is more or less transferred back to medieval times.
