The lovely colours of the autumn is starting to find its way to the photos published on flashpacker.org.
Stockholm,
Sandhamn and
Paris have all gotten their fair attention. Speaking of
Paris, I recently visited the culinary capital of the world to find out what to exptect from its blooming bistronomies, my results can be found in
A Weekend to Discover Bistronomy in Paris.

This time I figured I could give a better explanation on how to add photos. The process is a little cumbersome but works, we will eventually change it to a one step process but for the moment it follows the same procedure as when adding other kinds of entries.
To add a photo you press "Add" from the top menu and choose "Photo" from the type drop down in the popup box. Enter a descriptive title since this is what you will later use to edit and keep track of your photos. "View over Paris from Notre Dame" is a good one for a photo over the cityscape in
Paris captured from the
Notre Dame, for example. Next you choose a parent, some photos (i.e those made specific for an article) don't need or should use a parent. All other should use one though and be as specific as possible. A photo of the
Eiffel Tower should have the
Eiffel Tower as the parent, not
Paris. If the parent doesn't exist, just create it and make a one sentence description of it. This way the flashpacker database will keep growing and everything will be properly sorted.
After pressing "Add" you'll be taken to your own page, choose the newly created photo from the drop-down list of available photos. Choose the .jpg image you want to upload and press upload. Images where one edge is 600px (and the other 600px or less) will just be copied, those smaller or larger will be resized too 600px along the long edge. A 107px high thumbnail will automatically be created if you leave the thumbnail picker empty.
"A comment is not required but highly recommended, it will help other flashpackers who becomes interested in the things captured in the photo"
Next enter a descriptive comment, when the photo is shown it will automatically be appended with "Photo by Someone in Parent.". A comment is not required but highly recommended, it will help other flashpackers who becomes interested in the things captured in the photo. Write the comment in the same way as you chose the title, agood, short description of the photo content and possibly where, how and when it was taken.
So, get out there and take photos of your favourite places and let other flashpackers be inspired by them!
